ここには、Stellariumの利用者によって作られた、いろんな背景画像へのリンクがあります。

註：バージョン0.9.0以降、背景画像ファイルの場所や内容、インストール方法が若干変更されています。新しいバージョンにおけるインストール方法は、こちらのページを確認してください。

新しい背景をインストールするための、一般的な注意点

より具体的な方法は、それぞれの背景のところに書いてあります。

  1. 1つかそれ以上の.pngファイルを特定のディレクトリにコピーします
  2. landscape.iniファイルを編集する

それぞれの背景の説明の中には<設定用ディレクトリ>という言葉がでてきます。これに関する詳しいことは、ここで読むことができます。

新しい背景をインストールしたあとは、変更を反映するためにStellariumを再起動してください。うまく設定できているなら、環境設定ウィンドウの背景タブに新しい背景が追加されていることでしょう。

新しい背景の作成方法については、取扱説明書に書いてあります。

Paul Bourke - 背景画像集

bourke.jpg Paul Bourkeはこのページで、オーストラリアやカンボジア、インドなどを含む、さまざまな場所や画像の背景を提供しています。360度の魚眼画像であり、大地を見回すことができるようになっています。

  1. 背景画像を<設定用ディレクトリ>/textures/landscapesにコピーしてください
  2. <設定用ディレクトリ>/data/landscapes.iniファイルを編集します。PaulのWebサイトに書いてある内容を追記してください

Barry Gerdes - オーストラリアのシドニーにあるボーモントの丘

beaumont-hills.jpg Barryは彼の家の屋根から見える風景を元に、複数の画像を使った背景を作成してくれました。この背景の作成方法については、Stellarium取扱説明書に詳細に書かれています。

Johan - 火星にあるハズバンドの丘

husband-hill.jpg JohanはNASAが公開した火星の画像を、Stellariumで使えるようなパノラマ画像へと変換してくれました。火星探査車のスピリットは2005年8月の24日から27日にかけて、この画像を作成しました。画像の著作権はNASA/JPL-Caltech/Cornellにあります。
